Kiewit Energy OGC Field Engineer 1

Job Summary

Kiewit Energy is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer 1 to support oil, gas, chemical, and process-industry construction projects. The position provides opportunities to develop across field operations, project controls, safety, quality, planning, estimating, and contract administration.

Project Details

The role supports complex engineering, procurement, and construction projects, including carbon capture facilities, liquefied natural gas plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, biofuel projects, ammonia, hydrogen, and renewable diesel developments. Assignments may be located throughout the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, specifications, and 3D models; prepare work plans and work packages for field crews.
• Monitor safety compliance, installation progress, material deliveries, quality inspections, and testing records.
• Maintain project controls, update schedules, prepare client reports, and assist with change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, design interfaces, and procurement activities.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, review plans and specifications, and support bid preparation.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Industrial or heavy civil construction experience is preferred.
• Ability to access all areas of construction sites and work safely in varied climates and conditions.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, leadership, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and work overtime or weekends when required.
• Regular attendance, professional conduct, and a demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity are required.
