Job Summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is hiring a Superintendent to lead field operations for nuclear maintenance, installation, and operations work in Aiken, South Carolina. This site-based role supervises craft teams and coordinates safe, productive execution in an active construction environment.

Project Details

The team supports nuclear-related work, including maintenance and modifications at nuclear power facilities. The position is part of Kiewit’s growing nuclear solutions business serving power, energy, industrial, and infrastructure clients across North America.

Responsibilities

• Direct the safety, quality, productivity, staffing, work methods, scheduling, and cost control of field operations.
• Lead Foremen, General Foremen, laborers, and craft employees while mentoring junior Superintendents.
• Verify safety and lockout/tagout protective measures, conduct toolbox talks, and resolve field issues.
• Prepare workplans, coordinate daily activities, and create and track daily and weekly schedules.
• Confirm crews have the necessary tools, materials, drawings, and work information.
• Manage subcontractor coordination, quality hold points, inspections, project turnover, and completion planning.
• Maintain daily records and collaborate with clients, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel.

Required Experience

• At least eight years of construction experience, including three or more years in a Superintendent or field leadership role.
• Experience with maintenance and modification projects at nuclear power plants.
• Electrical, structural, or mechanical field supervision experience is needed.
• Strong leadership, safety, planning, negotiation, communication, organizational, and contract administration skills.
• Ability to work independently, learn company processes and software, address problems, meet deadlines, and work overtime or weekends when required.
• Regular, reliable attendance and daily presence at the active Aiken construction site are required.
