Job Summary
Barton Malow Builders is seeking a Low Voltage Project Manager to oversee technology and special systems construction for a major sports and entertainment venue in Jacksonville. The role manages delivery from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.
Project Details
The project includes complex venue technology supporting connectivity, security, operations, and the spectator experience. Systems include structured cabling and fiber, Wi-Fi, DAS, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, public address and mass notification, audiovisual, IPTV, digital signage, and building technology integration.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate design, procurement, installation, testing, startup, commissioning, and closeout for low-voltage scopes.
- Act as the primary project contact for subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and owner representatives.
- Track schedules, milestones, budgets, forecasts, risks, procurement, and long-lead equipment.
- Lead coordination meetings, review contracts and submittals, and monitor trade partner performance.
- Resolve installation conflicts with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and structural teams.
- Manage change orders, pay applications, cost reporting, integration testing, owner training, and closeout documentation.
- Confirm systems meet design, manufacturer, operational, and performance requirements.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, technology systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least five years of project management experience in low-voltage, electrical, technology, or special systems construction.
- Experience managing subcontractors and technology vendors on complex commercial projects.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project controls.
- Preferred experience includes stadium, arena, sports, entertainment, airport, healthcare, hospitality, mission-critical, or large commercial work.
- Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber optics, security, AV, DAS, Wi-Fi, building technology integration, commissioning, and systems integration is preferred.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
