ME Engineer 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group is hiring an entry-level M/E Engineer to support mechanical and electrical construction activities on large-scale industrial, data center, and semiconductor projects across the country.

Responsibilities

• Complete entry-level mechanical, electrical, and field construction tasks under supervisor direction.
• Learn to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating systems.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and complete systems analysis for select projects.
• Help develop M/E scopes of work and support bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
• Assist with sequencing requirements for various systems to meet schedule needs.
• Support constructability reviews by identifying potential quality issues in design documents.
• Participate in the shop drawing and submittal process to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Assist with commissioning tasks including pre-functional checklists and functional testing procedures.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 0–2 years of construction experience, including internship or co-op experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
