Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group is hiring an entry-level M/E Engineer to support mechanical and electrical activities on mission critical projects including data centers, semiconductor facilities, and large industrial construction.

The Advanced Facilities Group focuses on cutting-edge data center, semiconductor, and industrial and manufacturing projects across the country.

Responsibilities

• Complete entry-level mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
• Learn to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating systems.
• Assist with systems analysis, bid analysis, and subcontractor selection during preconstruction.
• Support development of mechanical and electrical scopes of work for the bid process.
• Assist with shop drawing and submittal review to ensure compliance with contract documents.
• Participate in the commissioning process, including pre-functional checklists and functional testing.
• Learn to perform job inspections to verify quality and specification compliance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field (required; equivalent experience considered).
• 0–2 years of construction experience or summer internship/co-op experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic construction M/E tools and software.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
