Mechanical Foreman

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Mechanical Foreman to lead field crews and subcontractors on civil and water/wastewater construction projects. This role coordinates work execution, safety, quality, resources, and productivity across active project sites.

Project Details

Work includes highway and bridge construction, concrete, structural steel, exposed and underground process piping, equipment installation, and related civil activities inside water and wastewater plants.

Responsibilities

• Plan construction operations, coordinate subcontractor activities, and prepare three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Sequence work to improve efficiency and identify potential issues.
• Supervise concrete, piping, equipment installation, and other civil construction activities.
• Manage equipment maintenance and identify required labor, materials, and resources.
• Monitor cost control, job costing, quantities, forecasts, and productivity.
• Supervise, train, and communicate with field personnel through reports and other project documentation.
• Lead behavior-based safety activities, including safety meetings, hazard education, and accident reporting.
• Participate in health, safety, quality, and environmental processes and contribute cost-saving ideas.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of craft and/or supervisory experience in highway and bridge construction.
• At least four years as a Foreman leading crews in concrete construction, structural steel, or related work.
• Strong public speaking, presentation, and written communication skills.
• First Aid/CPR, OSHA training, and safe hand and power tool use.
• Ability to work extended hours in varying temperature conditions.
• Willingness to relocate to project locations as required.
