Mechanical Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent in Phoenix to lead field operations, coordinate project teams and trades, and deliver construction work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety requirements and maintain required records and documentation.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor project personnel and coordinate work with subcontractors and trade partners.
• Manage project schedules, critical path activities, three-week lookaheads, project execution planning, and constructability concerns.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, estimators, clients, consultants, labor representatives, and other site stakeholders.
• Monitor productivity, quality, budget performance, labor costs, forecasts, and project risks.
• Lead site meetings, resolve conflicts, maintain project correspondence, and support strong customer relationships.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or undergraduate degree in a related discipline.
• NCSO designation required; Gold Seal program enrollment preferred.
• Five years of progressive field supervision experience preferred, including successful construction workforce supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, safety and environmental requirements, contracts, scheduling, cost reports, and takeoffs.
• Ability to coordinate multiple scopes, apply basic engineering principles, use scheduling software, lead meetings, resolve problems, and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
