Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent 2 to lead field execution on complex industrial and manufacturing construction projects. The role manages site operations, subcontractors, materials, equipment, safety, quality, scheduling, and project documentation from mobilization through closeout.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, semiconductor, and other advanced facilities projects across the country. This position may oversee a stand-alone project or a major portion of a larger project.

Responsibilities

• Direct subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, workflow, and self-performed work.
• Lead safety culture, investigate incidents, and support injury-free operations.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, project reports, logs, and documentation.
• Manage site logistics, material and equipment needs, timecards, quality compliance, and closeout activities.
• Lead daily and weekly trade meetings and participate in owner, architect, and project review meetings.
• Identify project risks and coordinate changes, costs, schedules, procurement, and staffing with project leadership.
• Support project pursuits, buyout activities, contract administration, and talent recruitment.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years in field supervision.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, layout, rigging, and crane flagging.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, collaboration, budgeting, document control, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Lean principles is preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
