Job Summary

Lead millwright work for Comfort Systems USA Shoffner in Knoxville, with a schedule that changes around plant downtime. Industrial experience is important, and military veterans are encouraged to apply.

Project Details

Work involves industrial equipment and machinery, including moving and setting HVAC units at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Rig, move, and set equipment using cranes or helicopters; perform equipment maintenance and demolition as needed.
• Take precision measurements and perform drilling, welding, and bolting.
• Lead toolbox talks, assign daily tasks, and submit crew timecards.
• Coordinate with owners and general contractors to complete work on schedule and within budget.

Required Experience

• At least four years of millwright or similar experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work in varied weather and indoor or outdoor conditions, including confined spaces, and to lift or carry up to 60 pounds.
• Must be punctual, reliable, able to work as part of a team, and able to meet the physical demands of the role.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay depends on experience, with annual reviews and bonus potential.
