Pre-Construction Manager- Kiewit Water Facilities South

Job Summary

Kiewit Water Facilities South is seeking a senior pre-construction leader to guide pursuits and early project development for major water and wastewater infrastructure work across North America.

Project Details

The group delivers water and wastewater treatment facilities, desalination plants, pump stations, conveyance systems, and progressive design-build projects. The position may be based in a regional office and supports pursuits valued at $100 million or more.

Responsibilities

• Direct pre-construction efforts from opportunity development through project award.
• Set pursuit, execution, staffing, procurement, pricing, and risk strategies.
• Oversee conceptual, budgetary, GMP, and detailed estimates, including quantity development and cost modeling.
• Lead risk reviews and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Build relationships with owners, engineers, consultants, and strategic partners.
• Support presentations, interviews, negotiations, design development, and constructability reviews.
• Transition awarded work to project management and operations teams.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive heavy civil, water, wastewater, or industrial construction experience.
• At least 10 years in estimating, pre-construction, project management, or operations leadership.
• Experience leading pursuits exceeding $100 million and using design-build or alternative delivery methods.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Strong financial, communication, presentation, negotiation, and multidisciplinary leadership skills.
• Ability to travel, relocate, work overtime or weekends when required, and operate safely across varying project locations.
