Project Director Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Director to provide senior-level leadership for a mission critical construction work program, overseeing operational performance, financial results, project teams, client relationships, and contractual outcomes.

Project Details

The role supports mission critical construction work across the full project lifecycle, including strategic planning, preconstruction, execution, scheduling, risk management, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned projects or work programs and guide subordinate managers through major decisions.
• Lead safety performance, incident response, corrective action, and injury-prevention efforts.
• Manage client relationships, subcontractor strategy, preconstruction planning, project reviews, schedules, staffing, and contractual risks.
• Oversee budgets, change orders, contingency use, profitability, issue resolution, and business development opportunities.
• Represent JE Dunn in community and industry relationships while promoting an inclusive workplace culture.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 15 years of construction management experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of people management experience required.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple large or complex projects or teams simultaneously.
• Advanced project management, accounting software, construction technology, presentation, Lean process, budget management, and risk management capabilities.
• Working knowledge of CMiC, estimating, productivity analysis, MBE/WBE and SBA regulations, and corporate risk policies.
