Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer 1 to support construction execution for its Advanced Facilities Group in Social Circle, Georgia. The role provides hands-on exposure to industrial and manufacturing construction, with opportunities to work alongside project leadership, trade partners, and subcontractors.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects. The position supports field and project-management activities in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, quality, estimating, change management, and construction-management activities.
• Monitor crews, labor hours, materials, equipment, and self-perform production in the field.
• Assist with punch lists, inspections, safety and quality reviews, meetings, and project reporting.
• Maintain current drawings and specifications, procurement logs, submittal tracking, and delivery updates.
• Provide schedule progress information and assist with project closeout documentation, including as-builts and operations manuals.
• Build collaborative working relationships with trade workers, subcontractors, superintendents, and other project team members while applying Lean practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Entry-level construction experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, accuracy, organization, teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of construction technology, means and methods, self-perform work, labor productivity, and Lean principles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions with frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a professional non-union position with a benefits package. The role may require travel or relocation and non-traditional work hours to meet project needs.
