Project Engineer

Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is hiring a Project Engineer in Orlando to support commercial construction delivery across sports and entertainment, healthcare, higher education, and related markets.

Project Details

The role supports varied commercial projects and coordinates engineering activities with project teams, architects, engineers, owners, contractors, and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance in resolving and tracking project issues.
• Help superintendents maintain field schedules and support overall project scheduling.
• Process submittals and requests for information.
• Prepare agendas, lead meetings, and assist with site logistics planning.
• Apply company safety requirements on the jobsite.
• Review contractor change quotations and support change-order processing.
• Coordinate plan reviews and approvals with local and state municipalities.
• Support document control, closeout, project progress, and change coordination.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least one year of professional construction experience or related internship experience.
• OSHA 30 Hour certification is preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, self-direction, problem-solving ability, and commitment to jobsite safety.
