Project Engineer

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a Project Engineer in Suffolk, Virginia, to support the project management team and help maintain organized, efficient project delivery. This entry-level opportunity is suited to a candidate pursuing project management experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare submittals and requests for information.
• Coordinate project activities from startup through closeout.
• Support material purchasing, estimating, scheduling, and field operations.
• Maintain project records, job costs, and other documentation.
• Communicate professionally with owners, architects, engineers, crews, and other project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Strong organization, planning, and attention to detail.
• Availability to travel and work the hours required by project needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary starts at $80,000.
