Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Project Engineer in Tempe to support operational and contract administration activities within its Civil West group. This role offers employee ownership, professional development, and opportunities to grow across construction sectors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and surveys to support progress tracking, reporting, and change management.
• Administer subcontracted scopes, clarify requirements, monitor production, and respond to subcontractor questions.
• Support project mobilization, contract reviews, submittal coordination, inspections, and systems commissioning.
• Evaluate project risks and assist with additional operational needs as assigned.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent practical experience.
• Four to six years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, equipment, drawings, specifications, materials, quality, HSE, and applicable standards.
• Ability to solve construction problems, manage schedules, administer contracts, and coordinate multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational technology systems.
