Job Summary
PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support complex data center construction projects through its Seattle District. The role supports project delivery, trade partner coordination, documentation, cost control, and closeout activities.
Project Details
The position supports a growing portfolio of data center projects across the Northwest, primarily in Washington and Oregon. Regional assignments and temporary relocation may be required based on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer portions of trade partner contracts, scopes, inquiries, and progress.
- Support change orders by helping evaluate pricing and schedule or cost impacts.
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, as-built records, and other project documentation.
- Assist with project reporting for safety, cost, schedule, quality, and overall scope performance.
- Prepare progress claims and estimates, track materials and equipment, and expedite orders.
- Support inspections, constructability coordination, code compliance, and resolution of field issues.
- Contribute to project closeout, document archiving, deficiency correction, and warranty activities.
Required Experience
- One to three years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, equipment, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, materials, and applicable standards.
- Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles to construction issues.
- Strong communication, planning, organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to develop schedules, coordinate subcontracts and contract documents, and use Microsoft Office and operational systems.
Compensation and Benefits
Estimated base salary is $90,500-$112,000 per year, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
