Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for its South Florida office, supporting construction operations across the region from Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Naples.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontract administration, including scope definition, RFI coordination, and shop drawing and submittal tracking.
• Participate in change management and change order pricing, processing, and schedule impact assessment.
• Maintain project document control, as-built drawings, and coordinate submittal schedules with design teams.
• Support project managers and superintendents in tracking HSE compliance, cost management, schedule, and quality.
• Prepare and monitor progress claims and estimates; coordinate material and equipment inventory and expediting.
• Assist with site inspections to resolve constructability issues and ensure code and AHJ compliance.
• Participate in project closeout, including document archival, warranty manuals, and deficiency resolution.

Required Experience

• 1–3 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, and building materials.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort with operational technology platforms.
