Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for its Civil West team in Tempe, Arizona. This role supports project controls, contract administration, field coordination, and construction operations within an employee-owned organization.

Responsibilities

• Complete quantity takeoffs, surveys, progress reporting, change management, and change order pricing.
• Administer subcontracted scopes, clarify requirements, monitor progress, and review contract obligations.
• Support project startup, schedule coordination, site inspections, submittal reviews, and systems commissioning.
• Identify project risks and track productivity for self-performed work.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Four to six years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, materials, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply engineering and problem-solving principles, administer contracts, develop schedules, multitask, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems, with the ability to learn new technology.
