Job Summary
PCL Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for its Civil West team in Tempe, Arizona. This role supports project controls, contract administration, field coordination, and construction operations within an employee-owned organization.
Responsibilities
- Complete quantity takeoffs, surveys, progress reporting, change management, and change order pricing.
- Administer subcontracted scopes, clarify requirements, monitor progress, and review contract obligations.
- Support project startup, schedule coordination, site inspections, submittal reviews, and systems commissioning.
- Identify project risks and track productivity for self-performed work.
Required Experience
- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
- Four to six years of construction experience in an operational role is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, materials, and applicable standards.
- Ability to apply engineering and problem-solving principles, administer contracts, develop schedules, multitask, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems, with the ability to learn new technology.
