Project Engineer Dearborn, MI

Job Summary

Support project leadership in delivering commercial construction work safely, on schedule, within budget, and to established quality standards. This role provides technical, administrative, and project-controls support to Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and design partners in Dearborn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily project execution, cost control, scheduling, documentation, and coordination.
• Track submittals, RFIs, change requests, procurement activities, and subcontract administration.
• Help develop project schedules, short-interval plans, and look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor quantities and costs, support forecasting, and maintain cost reports.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and design professionals to address construction issues.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation.
• Support quality-control documentation, safety planning, compliance tracking, and site initiatives.
• Use Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and related construction technology.
• Participate in lessons-learned and continuous-improvement efforts.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of commercial construction experience in a Project Engineer or similar role.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, drawing interpretation, and project controls.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and scheduling software.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strong organization, communication, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external project partners.
