Project Engineer Phoenix Buildings

Job Summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction operations for its Phoenix Buildings team. This role works with project leadership, trade partners, designers, and suppliers to help deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support subcontract administration, trade partner coordination, work scopes, inquiries, and progress tracking.
• Assist with change pricing, change orders, and evaluation of cost and schedule effects.
• Manage project records, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate design responses, submittal reviews, inspections, constructability matters, and code or authority requirements.
• Help monitor HSE, cost, schedule, quality, materials, equipment, progress claims, and estimates.
• Support project closeout, including archives, deficiency resolution, warranty manuals, and warranty work.

Required Experience

• One to three years of operational construction experience preferred.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, building materials, HSE, quality, and applicable standards.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving concepts to field challenges.
• Strong communication, organization, scheduling, prioritization, multitasking, and subcontract coordination skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and willingness to learn internal systems and new technology.
