Job Summary

Barton Malow Company is hiring a Project Engineer, Self-Perform to support a mission critical construction project near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role provides technical and administrative support for Barton Malow's self-performed scopes, working alongside field supervision and project management to keep documentation, coordination, and field execution running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project document control, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Process submittals and RFIs accurately and on schedule.
  • Support procurement activities, including bidding documents and bidder tracking.
  • Maintain and update the project schedule in coordination with the PM team.
  • Prepare meeting minutes for project and coordination meetings.
  • Assist with site logistics planning to support efficient field operations.
  • Enforce corporate safety policies and procedures on-site.
  • Evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders.
  • Manage plan review and approval processes with local and state municipalities.
  • Support weekly and monthly project reporting and assist with closeout documentation.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Relevant internship, co-op, or professional experience in construction.
  • Industrial market and/or self-perform field experience highly preferred.
  • Mission critical construction experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of document control, submittals, and RFI processes.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
