Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group is hiring a Project Manager 1 to lead project operations and administration on Industrial, Data Center, and Semiconductor construction projects in Kansas City, Missouri. This role works closely with the Project Superintendent to manage all aspects of a project from preconstruction through closeout.

JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group focuses on large-scale Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects across the country — some of the most technically demanding work in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture on the project and investigate any incidents.
• Support preconstruction efforts including quantity takeoff, bid package development, and schedule creation.
• Manage subcontract buyout, scope verification, and gap analysis.
• Oversee the submittal schedule and coordinate shop drawing reviews.
• Handle change requests, owner/architect approvals, and monthly pay applications.
• Prepare and maintain the project schedule using Lean principles alongside the Project Superintendent.
• Monitor costs against budget, prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts, and report on project profitability.
• Lead OAC meetings, monthly project reviews, and progress meetings.
• Manage project closeout including punch lists, financials, subcontracts, and warranties.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Advanced proficiency in project management/accounting software, construction technology, and scheduling software.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and Lean process application.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
