Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) is hiring a Project Manager 2 – Self Perform to lead moderately complex or large-scale industrial, data center, and semiconductor construction projects. This role owns the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout and reports within a high-performing team focused on cutting-edge facilities work.

Project Details

AFG projects span Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Centers, and Semiconductor facilities — large-scale, technically advanced builds across the country.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture on-site and investigate any incidents, retraining staff as needed.
• Support preconstruction activities including quantity takeoffs, bid package development, and schedule creation.
• Manage subcontractor buyout, scope verification, gap analysis, and subcontract issuance.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals; coordinate timely return to subcontractors.
• Prepare, submit, and obtain approval for owner change requests; manage the full change management process.
• Lead OAC meetings, monthly project reviews, and progress meetings.
• Complete monthly subcontractor and owner pay applications.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule using Lean principles; track materials, labor, and procurement.
• Prepare monthly cost and margin forecasts; monitor budget performance and flag discrepancies.
• Lead project closeout including punch lists, financials, subcontracts, and warranties.
• Identify and actively manage project risks throughout the lifecycle.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of construction management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Advanced proficiency in project management, accounting, and scheduling software.
• Advanced proficiency in construction technology tools.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and Lean process principles.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours and travel or relocate as project needs dictate.
