Job Summary

Comfort Systems USA Southwest is hiring a Project Manager to guide mechanical, plumbing, and sheet metal construction projects from handoff through completion. The role is accountable for project delivery, financial results, contracts, schedules, procurement, and team leadership.

Project Details

Manage assigned mechanical, plumbing, and sheet metal construction projects in the Tucson area.

Responsibilities

• Direct project operations and support project coordinators, engineers, assistant project managers, and field supervisors.
• Manage budgets, schedules, cost controls, forecasts, work-in-progress reporting, billing, receivables, and profitability.
• Oversee project turnover, permits, setup, submittals, procurement, subcontract agreements, and closeout.
• Administer contracts, assess and mitigate risk, and negotiate and process changes.
• Coordinate labor and resources, monitor productivity, and support safe and timely field execution.
• Lead, mentor, and develop project team members while maintaining strong client and trade-partner relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of progressive construction experience.
• Experience managing mechanical, plumbing, and/or sheet metal construction projects, including financial oversight and execution.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, project costs, contracts, risk, procurement, and subcontract administration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and MVR screening.
