Project Manager

Job Summary

Granite is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the direction, delivery, and financial performance of heavy civil construction projects in Sparks, Nevada.

Project Details

Manage construction projects valued up to $50 million, with work involving paving, underground construction, concrete, dirt, and grading.

Responsibilities

• Develop project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and plans, and manage costs, quantities, and revenue.
• Coordinate estimating, project controls, field leadership, and project resources from bidding through project startup and delivery.
• Maintain effective communication with project teams, owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, and company leadership.
• Monitor project performance and profitability, support continuous improvement, and promote a safe work environment.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent heavy civil construction experience.
• Three to five years of progressive project experience in heavy civil construction.
• At least five years of experience in paving, dirt, and grading in public or private work.
• Knowledge of paving, underground, concrete, and grading practices; understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range of $105,831 to $158,746. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending plans, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred, with immediate vesting. Eligible employees may have access to a medical plan with premiums fully paid by Granite for the employee and dependents.
