Project Manager

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Project Manager for its Civil West team in Tempe, Arizona. The role partners with clients and leads projects ranging from urgent facility work to capital improvements delivered through long-term Job Order Contracts.

Project Details

The position supports civil and facility construction projects involving capital improvements, contract work, project commissioning, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct contract administration, technical coordination, project safety, quality, budget, resources, and schedule.
• Develop value engineering recommendations that improve project function, cost, or delivery timing.
• Track project performance and report safety, cost forecasts, and schedule status.
• Negotiate and administer subcontracts, purchase orders, revisions, and progress payments.
• Enforce contract requirements, manage risks and opportunities, and support commissioning and closeout.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Five to eight years of progressive construction experience; leadership and mentoring experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, construction law, building codes, safety, and quality management.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules, build stakeholder relationships, and use Microsoft Office, project management, and scheduling software.
