Project Manager (Heavy Civil)

Job Summary

Granite is hiring a Heavy Civil Project Manager to direct project delivery and financial performance for construction projects valued at $15 million to $49 million.

Project Details

Projects involve heavy civil work, including paving, underground construction, concrete, dirt, and grading in public or private settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, costs, revenue, quantities, and schedules to meet profitability targets.
• Coordinate estimating, project controls, staffing, project startup, and bid reviews.
• Guide communication among project engineers, foremen, superintendents, and construction management to support safe, efficient work.
• Maintain relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, and company leadership.
• Monitor job reporting and support corporate safety initiatives.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent heavy civil experience.
• Five to ten years of progressive project experience in heavy civil construction.
• At least five years of paving, dirt, and grading experience in public or private work.
• Knowledge of construction practices, union agreements, and prevailing wage issues; strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $127,843 to $191,763. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending plans, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred by salaried employees, with immediate vesting.
