Project Manager (Heavy Civil Construction)

Job Summary

Granite seeks a Project Manager to direct heavy civil construction projects, overseeing delivery, financial performance, and coordination among project teams.

Project Details

Projects may be valued up to $15 million and involve heavy civil work such as paving, underground construction, concrete, dirt, and grading.

Responsibilities

• Develop project budgets and forecasts, monitor costs, revenue, quantities, and schedules, and manage work to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate estimating, project controls, project staffing, startup, and construction schedules.
• Lead communication among engineers, foremen, superintendents, construction managers, clients, agencies, and subcontractors.
• Maintain project reporting, support continuous improvement, and uphold company safety initiatives.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent heavy civil experience.
• Three to five years of progressive heavy civil project experience.
• At least five years of paving, dirt, and grading experience in public or private work.
• Knowledge of construction practices, union agreements, and prevailing wage issues, with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $105,831-$158,746. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending options, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred by salaried employees, with immediate vesting.
