Job Summary

Barton Malow Company is hiring a Project Manager to oversee renewable energy construction work from its Southfield, Michigan team. The position leads project execution with responsibility for quality, compliance, cost, scheduling, safety, and client coordination.

Project Details

The role supports solar and wind projects located throughout the Great Lakes Region. Project managers spend most of their time at the active project site.

Responsibilities

  • Direct company personnel, subcontractors, engineers, designers, and other project resources.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, estimates, controls, staffing, procurement, and material delivery.
  • Coordinate submittals, design compliance reviews, technical documentation, construction services, and turnover records.
  • Monitor quality, safety, policy compliance, reporting, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to project staff.

Required Experience

  • Four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Five to eight years of relevant professional experience, with solar or wind project experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading construction staff, subcontractors, engineers, or designers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, teamwork, and independent decision-making skills.
  • OSHA 30-hour training is preferred, along with a proactive commitment to safety.
