Project Manager- Small Projects

Job Summary

Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating the project team and working toward successful, timely completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates, budgets, and contract pricing; negotiate subcontract and material purchases.
• Coordinate procurement, submittals, material delivery, schedules, and project procedures.
• Maintain productive relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and company management.
• Work with the superintendent on safety planning and procedures, and oversee quality, contract compliance, and project documentation.
• Lead and develop the project team, coordinate meetings, support estimating and business development, and manage preconstruction activities.
• Mitigate claims and conflicts, complete project closeout, and conduct warranty follow-up.

Required Experience

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Five to eight years of field construction management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Leadership, problem-solving, organization, communication, drafting, and computer skills.
• Working knowledge of contract law, project accounting, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating.
