Project Safety Professional (Renewable Energy)

Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a Project Safety Professional to support renewable energy and other complex construction assignments. The role promotes safe project execution through field oversight, training, compliance activities, and incident response.

Project Details

Assignments may involve industrial, automotive, energy, and data center environments. The position is based in Madison, Wisconsin, with extended travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Administer project safety requirements and help align field practices with client and company standards.
• Lead orientations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and workforce education.
• Coordinate with labor, management, site personnel, and subcontractors to address hazards and unsafe work.
• Support pre-job planning, safety audits, corrective feedback, and incident investigations.
• Prepare safety records and participate in incident reviews with project and safety leadership.

Required Experience

• At least four years of construction safety experience.
• A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field is preferred.
• OSHA 30, OSHA 500, NFPA 70E, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are required.
• CHST certification is preferred.
• Ability to work shifts that may include evenings and weekends and travel for extended project assignments.
