Job Summary
Kiewit Building Group is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead field operations, supervise craft personnel, and support safe, high-quality delivery of vertical construction projects. The position is intended for an experienced construction supervisor committed to field operations.
Project Details
Kiewit’s Building Group delivers office buildings, industrial facilities, education and sports venues, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, technology facilities, manufacturing, retail, and tenant improvement work. The role may be based in the Washington, D.C. area, Homer City, Pennsylvania, Aiken, South Carolina, or on East Coast projects.
Responsibilities
- Direct craft personnel and evaluate productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
- Coordinate field engineering, subcontractors, other superintendents, and project leadership.
- Support schedule development, workforce planning, material estimating, and equipment planning.
- Address employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling challenges.
- Maintain compliance with construction documents, company procedures, safety requirements, and workplace standards.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years in a supervisory role.
- Previous experience in vertical building construction.
- Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, jurisdictional matters, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and engineering documents.
- Strong craft supervision, communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel, work overtime or weekends as needed, and work at varying project locations and conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
Base compensation is $138,000-$160,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, wellness and employee assistance programs, life and disability insurance, retirement plans with matching, and paid time off.
