PV Commissioning Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. is seeking a PV Commissioning Superintendent to lead commissioning activities and field execution for utility-scale solar projects in Camden and Eaton, Ohio, with potential assignments at projects nationwide.

Project Details

The role supports solar photovoltaic projects through commissioning and turnover, with possible transfers to subsequent projects in other states as project needs change.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and field operations while coordinating with the project manager, engineers, subcontractors, trades, clients, and site contractors.
• Implement safety, quality, productivity, documentation, and project administration requirements.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor project personnel and coordinate own forces and trade contractor activities.
• Build and manage project schedules, critical paths, project execution plans, and resource-loaded three-week lookaheads.
• Identify constructability concerns, work conflicts, schedule risks, and contract opportunities while supporting budget and profitability targets.
• Lead site and client meetings and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate, undergraduate degree, or engineering degree in a related discipline.
• Five to seven years of progressive field supervision experience preferred, including successful supervision of a construction workforce.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, specifications, safety and environmental requirements, scheduling, productivity, cost reporting, and contract administration.
• Ability to coordinate multiple project scopes, interpret schedules and cost reports, resolve conflicts, and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
