Safety Manager

Job Summary

Coordinate and oversee corporate safety programs at construction project locations, supporting personnel and helping maintain safe, OSHA-compliant worksites.

Responsibilities

• Train employees and organize pre-job safety planning, including hazard review and emergency response preparation.
• Inspect jobsites for compliance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Coordinate project safety activities with subcontractors and support foremen’s and superintendents’ safety meetings.
• Investigate and analyze injuries and property damage, prepare accident summaries, and communicate safety updates.
• Identify safety training needs and assist project personnel in meeting company safety goals.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or equivalent, plus five years of experience in safety or a related field.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and ability to assess work activities, loss-control risks, and accident trends.
• Ability to develop safety training and deliver presentations; experience with Word and PowerPoint.
• GSP, ASP, CSP, OSHT, or CIH certification desired.
• Preferred qualifications include CHST and/or GSP certification, five years in construction safety, Outlook, Excel, and Bluebeam skills, strong communication skills, and English-Spanish bilingual ability.
