Safety Manager II - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Safety Manager II to lead safety performance across multiple data center construction project teams and sites.

Project Details

This role supports data center construction within Mortenson's broader portfolio of complex building, development, and EPC work.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Zero Injury Safety Program and create site-specific safety plans for multiple projects.
• Coordinate safety initiatives with trade contractors and joint-venture partners.
• Perform hazard assessments, develop orientations, and arrange required safety training.
• Track safety documentation, metrics, trends, and OSHA reporting while leading corrective action plans.
• Monitor field activities, document deficiencies, and manage incident reporting, investigation, and analysis.
• Partner with risk management during work planning and hazard analysis.
• Mentor safety personnel and provide guidance on construction safety standards and regulations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field, or a high school diploma with CHST, OSHA 500, 12 years of construction experience, and seven years in construction safety.
• At least seven years of construction safety or equivalent related experience.
• CSP certification is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 100%.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant safety software.
• Strong organization, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $107,200-$160,800 per year, with geographic adjustments available in certain offices and eligibility for an incentive plan.
