Job Summary

Kiewit and TIC are seeking a Safety Manager to lead project-level environmental health and safety efforts for power construction work. The position supports a strong incident-prevention culture across a growing EPC project portfolio.

Project Details

The role supports Entergy power projects managed by TIC’s Power District, with assignments located throughout North America and a home base that may be selected by the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, audit, and improve project safety and environmental programs.
  • Review incident and occupational illness data, identify hazards, and recommend corrective measures.
  • Inspect jobsite facilities, equipment, machinery, and safety systems for compliance and potential hazards.
  • Observe workforce activities, coach employees on safe practices, and interpret applicable regulations.
  • Create and deliver safety training, including orientation, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, and respiratory protection topics.
  • Maintain training documentation and communicate with OSHA or other regulatory inspectors during site visits.

Required Experience

  • Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental safety, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may substitute.
  • At least five years managing construction projects, with highway construction experience specified.
  • Experience managing safety programs on projects of increasing complexity.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements, hazard recognition, recordkeeping, and injury management.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, along with strong communication, organization, and independent-work skills.
  • First Aid/CPR, EMT, and OSHA or MSHA instructor credentials are preferred.
  • Ability to access construction sites in varied climates and work overtime or weekends when required.
