Safety Professional (Travel)

Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking a traveling Safety Professional to support project teams, strengthen field safety performance, and help maintain secure working conditions across assigned construction sites.

Project Details

Assignments may support industrial, automotive, energy, and data center projects. The role involves extended travel to project locations and may require evening and weekend shift work.

Responsibilities

• Administer project safety programs and help exceed customer and company standards.
• Lead orientations, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and employee education.
• Coordinate with labor, management, site personnel, and subcontractors to address hazards and unsafe work.
• Support pre-job planning, audits, corrective feedback, and incident investigations.
• Prepare safety documentation covering incidents, violations, and hazardous conditions.
• Participate in incident reviews with project and senior safety leadership.

Required Experience

• At least four years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications required.
• Experience in industrial, automotive, energy, or data center environments.
• A bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field is preferred.
• CHST and OSHA 510 certifications are preferred.
• Willingness to travel for extended project assignments is essential.
