Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 to coordinate and implement field safety programs for mission-critical and advanced-facility construction projects in Midlothian. The role supports project teams by identifying hazards, improving safety performance, and guiding compliance on increasingly complex work.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers data centers, semiconductor facilities, and industrial and manufacturing projects for technology-focused clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site inspections, safety audits, hazard documentation, and abatement tracking.
  • Coordinate orientations, safety meetings, committees, incentive programs, and subcontractor safety monitoring.
  • Support accident investigations, root-cause reviews, injury follow-up, and return-to-work coordination.
  • Use safety systems for trend analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide safety guidance and training, participate in insurance audits, and support complex or multiple projects.

Required Experience

  • At least two years of construction safety experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in safety, health, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, local, company, and construction safety requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction technology, and safety software and tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, hazard recognition, corrective action, and collaboration skills.
