Self-Perform Concrete Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage self-perform concrete construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating the project team and working toward successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop project budgets, establish contract pricing, negotiate subcontracts and material purchases, and prepare bid packages.
• Coordinate procurement, submittals, material deliveries, schedules, and project control systems.
• Work with the Superintendent on safety planning and procedures, and maintain quality standards.
• Lead and support project staff, organize management and subcontractor meetings, and maintain communication with the owner, architect, and subcontractors.
• Monitor contract compliance, reporting, project documentation, cost and schedule performance, and potential claims.
• Oversee preconstruction, business development support, project closeout, and warranty follow-up.

Required Experience

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Five to eight years of field construction management experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Leadership, problem-solving, organizational, communication, drafting, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of contract law, project accounting, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating.
