Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for its California Buildings team in Glendale. This role supports project delivery through contract administration, technical coordination, field quality activities, and project controls.

The position contributes to infrastructure and building projects serving communities throughout California.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs, surveys, progress reporting, and change management activities.
• Administer subcontracted scopes, clarify requirements, monitor progress, and manage contract documentation.
• Support project startup, review subcontractor submittals, and coordinate design-related requirements.
• Assist with design-team inspections, track installation deficiencies, and participate in systems commissioning sign-offs.
• Identify risks and help address construction, schedule, quality, and coordination issues.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Four to six years of operational construction experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, materials, standards, HSE, and quality practices.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem-solving principles to field challenges.
• Strong communication, planning, organization, scheduling, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Experience preparing and administering subcontracts and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal operational systems and new technology.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary is $102,000-$132,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
