Senior Project Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Civil Constructors, Inc. is hiring a Senior Project Engineer in Washington, D.C. to support the delivery and administration of public-sector civil construction projects within its Civil East group.

Project Details

The role supports water and wastewater work, including treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utility projects, with experience involving municipal or public owners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs, surveys, progress reporting, and change management.
• Track project costs, quantities, pay applications, forecasts, submittals, RFIs, and project records.
• Review plans, specifications, and contract requirements to support field operations.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, clients, and project stakeholders.
• Help maintain schedules, look-ahead plans, procurement activities, subcontract administration, and buyout documentation.
• Support quality control, safety, environmental compliance, and owner relationship activities.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Four to six years of operational construction experience preferred.
• Experience with municipal or public owners; DC Water experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of project controls, contract administration, cost tracking, and construction documents.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work extended hours when project demands require.
