Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

Lead the delivery and financial performance of complex heavy civil construction projects, overseeing teams, project controls, client relationships, and safe execution.

Project Details

Projects have revenues of $50 million to $100 million and may run for up to three years. Work includes paving, underground construction, concrete, dirt, and grading; experience with design-build projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project forecasts, budgets, schedules, costs, revenue, quantities, and profitability.
• Lead and develop a staff of up to 10 employees, including hiring and performance reviews.
• Coordinate estimating, project controls, resources, bid reviews, and project start-up.
• Work with field teams to promote efficient, safe project delivery and clear communication.
• Maintain strong relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, and inspectors.
• Prepare accurate project reports and support continuous improvement.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent heavy civil experience.
• At least 10 years of progressive project experience in heavy civil construction.
• At least five years of paving, dirt, and grading experience in public or private work.
• Knowledge of paving, underground, concrete, and grading practices, as well as union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
• Large-project superintendent and design-build experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $146,948 to $220,424.
