Senior Project Manager - Semiconductor (Traveling)

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a traveling Senior Project Manager for its industrial construction team. This role leads administrative and field activities, protects project profitability and quality, and maintains strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Project Details

The position supports industrial construction work, with semiconductor project experience preferred. The manager may oversee multiple medium-sized projects, one large project, or a defined scope within a complex project.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules, address long-lead items, and manage updates and changes.
• Negotiate change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Prepare status reports, owner billings, and financial risk assessments.
• Identify value engineering, scope reduction, constructability, and buyout opportunities.
• Coordinate project safety planning and communication with project teams and subcontractors.
• Support preconstruction, contract administration, budgeting, insurance, bonding, and scope compliance.
• Lead staff development, assignments, performance actions, and promotions.

Required Experience

• Industry-related college degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of construction experience, including project management.
• Demonstrated experience leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring team members.
• Strong business judgment, communication, leadership, client relations, negotiation, decision-making, conflict resolution, and construction knowledge.
• Experience with or ability to learn JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, Asta, or comparable project and scheduling software.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
