Senior Project Manager Sports General Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, complex sports and commercial construction projects. This role carries full ownership of project outcomes — from preconstruction through closeout — and requires a proven leader comfortable managing significantly complex or multiple simultaneous projects.

Project Details

The focus is large-scale sports and commercial general construction projects with values of $100M or greater, based out of Kansas City, Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and leadership for complex construction projects, owning outcomes from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead buyout, subcontract issuance, scope review, bid analysis, and change order negotiations.
• Prepare and manage project schedules using Lean principles in collaboration with the Project Superintendent.
• Complete monthly cost and margin forecasting, pay applications, and budget oversight.
• Coordinate all project stakeholders including owner, design team, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead OAC meetings, monthly project reviews, and progress meetings.
• Champion jobsite safety culture and lead incident investigations as needed.
• Manage project closeout including punch list, financials, subcontracts, and warranties.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of construction management experience.
• Demonstrated experience on large, complex sports or commercial construction projects valued at $100M or greater.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in MS Office, CMiC or similar project management/accounting software, scheduling software, and BIM.
• Strong estimating, budget management, and preconstruction skills through GMP development.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
