Senior Project Superintendent - Semiconductor (Traveling)

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to direct field operations for complex industrial construction projects, with semiconductor experience preferred. The role is based in Phoenix and requires national travel.

Project Details

This position supports large, complex industrial projects, including semiconductor work, with responsibility for field execution, safety, schedule, budget, staffing, and project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontractors and field personnel in constructing projects to plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Establish and enforce the project safety culture and company safety policies.
• Partner with Project Managers on schedule, budget, staffing, procurement, and cost-control decisions.
• Maintain project schedules, including two-week look-ahead plans.
• Review contract obligations and keep submittals, daily logs, closeout records, and other project documents current.
• Build effective relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Required Experience

• High school diploma required; an industry-related college degree is preferred.
• At least eight years of field and project construction management experience, preferably in industrial or semiconductor construction.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, teach, develop, and mentor others in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials, construction-document interpretation, communication, negotiation, problem solving, time management, and project organization.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Apple products; Procore, JDE, and Asta experience is preferred.
