Senior Superintendent Commercial Construction

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent in Nashville to lead complex commercial construction projects from planning through closeout. The role oversees field teams, project execution, safety, quality, scheduling, and delivery results across one or more projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex stand-alone or multiple projects, including sequencing, staffing, workflow, schedules, budgets, and project risks.
• Lead subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, and multiple superintendents while coordinating site operations and material needs.
• Direct safety, quality assurance, documentation, meetings, reporting, procurement, and project closeout activities.
• Partner with project management and field leadership on changes, cost and schedule impacts, project pursuits, reviews, and buyout activities.
• Develop client and industry relationships, support business development, and help identify future work.
• Promote diversity and inclusion, mentor team members, and support company training initiatives.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 10 years of construction experience and 8 years of field supervision experience.
• Advanced communication, presentation, construction means and methods, trade, self-perform, labor productivity, layout, and rigging knowledge.
• Intermediate proficiency with project management, accounting, scheduling, and Microsoft Office software.
• Experience leading Lean principles is preferred.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license required, with the ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying weather and site conditions.
