Sr_ Field Engineer

Job Summary

PCL Industrial Construction Co. is seeking a Senior Field Engineer in Houston to support industrial construction delivery through field coordination, contract administration, document control, and project performance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity takeoffs, surveys, progress reporting, and field coordination with trade contractors.
• Assist with subcontract administration, scope definition, inquiries, progress monitoring, and change order evaluation.
• Review drawings, submittals, constructability issues, code requirements, and installation quality with project stakeholders.
• Support the project manager and superintendent with HSE, cost, schedule, quality, commissioning, and design coordination activities.
• Maintain RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, as-built drawings, and other project documentation.

Required Experience

• Four to seven years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
• Construction trade certification with equivalent experience, or a post-secondary diploma or bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction equipment, methods, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, building materials, construction law, building codes, and ASME piping codes.
• Ability to administer subcontracts, manage project documents, solve construction problems, and create schedules for projects valued at $1.5 million to $3 million.
• Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and Microsoft Office skills, with familiarity with Baseplate and other operational systems.
