Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution for utility-scale renewable energy projects throughout the Great Lakes Region. The role is based out of the company's Southfield and Grandville, Michigan teams and requires full-time presence at traveling project sites.

Project Details

The position supports solar and wind construction, including electrical installation and power distribution work on utility-scale renewable energy projects across the Great Lakes Region.

Responsibilities

• Direct electrical construction activities, crews, subcontractors, work sequencing, and short-term field schedules.
• Enforce jobsite safety and ensure installations comply with drawings, codes, quality standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, inspectors, clients, and subcontractors to resolve field issues and maintain productivity.
• Support submittals, BIM coordination, QA/QC inspections, turnover documentation, material logistics, cost and productivity tracking, and O&M manual completion.
• Coach field personnel and help maintain a collaborative, high-performing jobsite culture.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent field experience.
• At least 4 years of electrical construction experience, with field supervision experience preferred.
• Utility-scale solar or wind construction experience is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of power distribution, electrical construction, QA/QC, construction drawings, and turnover procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, BIM360, and Bluebeam.
• OSHA 15- or 30-Hour Certification required.
• Must be willing to travel extensively and work onsite for the duration of assigned projects.
