Superintendent 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 in Austin to lead moderately complex construction projects or major project segments from planning through closeout. The role oversees field production, safety, quality, scheduling, materials, equipment, documentation, and coordination with project partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site logistics, workflow, and self-performed work.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, budgets, reports, project records, and cost tracking.
• Lead daily, trade, progress, owner-architect-contractor, and project review meetings.
• Direct safety, quality assurance, staffing, procurement, risk management, and project closeout activities.
• Coordinate project changes, contract requirements, deliverables, and communications with owners, designers, authorities, and internal teams.
• Support project pursuits, buyout meetings, negotiations, pre-planning, and implementation of Lean practices.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience, including 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, trade scopes, self-perform operations, layout, rigging, scheduling, project accounting, and construction technology.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, MS Office, project management, scheduling, and accounting software skills.
• Lean principles experience is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied weather and physical conditions.
