Superintendent 3

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 3 to lead moderately complex construction projects in Charlotte. This role manages field operations, coordinates project teams and trades, and drives safe, timely and profitable delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan construction sequencing, develop work plans and maintain project schedules with the project management team.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, field staff, site logistics, materials and equipment.
• Lead safety, quality, daily coordination and trade meetings while maintaining an injury-free work environment.
• Coordinate project communications, documentation, reporting, inspections and closeout activities.
• Monitor self-perform work, labor hours, costs, quality compliance and project risks.
• Support change management, procurement, project reviews, buyout meetings and owner or architect negotiations.
• Manage stand-alone projects or major project portions involving multiple field supervisors.
• Help develop client relationships, pursue new work and support marketing presentations.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred.
• At least 8 years of construction experience and 5 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology and Lean practices.
• Advanced layout, crane flagging and rigging knowledge, plus familiarity with trades, self-perform work and labor productivity.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours in varying weather conditions.
